"I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, but I had the gene so I eventually had my ovaries removed. Because of this and the medication I was on I started to gain weight. Because I was virtually in early menopause, this was having implications for my heart. The Encompass nutritionist was so lovely. She made it fun. Asked what OI was eating and it was pretty good. But she tweaked things. More water, add some lentils to meals to increase te protein, just small manageable thins and I lost 6 kilos while I was with her and I am still losing. She made it fun, achievable and made me accountable."
